Galley, studio space celebrates six years

The Artists’ Studio in the Foothills will host its sixth annual Spring Open House, featuring Open Studios and resident artist demonstrations and presentations throughout the day Saturday. This event is designed to showcase more than 25 ASiF resident artists and highlight the center’s programs. A sampling of upcoming classes, workshops, art camps and mentoring opportunities for students of all ages will be offered throughout the day.

This is a family friendly event, so bring the kids and roll up your sleeves for a day full of fun interactive art activities, said ASiF Owner Amanda Paoletti.

Guests will get the chance to venture into the creative spaces of more than 25 resident artists, visit the community classrooms and private and shared studio spaces of Yvonne Bartlett, Rebecca Bleau, Sheila Butchko, Eileen Blodgett, Deborah Bridges, Odette Brush, Roseanne Burke, Cabrina Channing, Ruth Chase, Sharon Griffiths, Cheri Guerette, Claudia Jeffers, Barbara Harris, Sally Herring, Betsy Hufnagel, Claudia Jeffers, Jill Mahanna, Lil McGill, Susan Michalski, Vicki Parker, Amanda Paoletti, Jean Patterson, Lin Schiffner, Jim Stettler, Stephanie Steyer, Denise Wey and Kathryn Wronski.

Guests will also be able to participate in ongoing and scheduled events including:

• Ceramics Classroom

Self Portrait Mothers Day tile class 10-noon all ages, $20.

Clay Play & Figure Sculpture Demo 1 - 3 p.m.

Wheel Throwing with Sheila Butchko - Ongoing

Hand-building Demo with Denise Wey - Ongoing

Kids Interactive Art Activity with Vicki Parker 11:30 - 1 p.m.

Acrylic Painting with Lil McGill & Denise Wey 1 - 2:30 p.m.

Encaustics with Barbara Harris & Sharon Griffiths 2:30 -4 p.m.

• Community Painting & Printmaking Classroom

Demos in the Community Classroom Ongoing 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Printmaking with Barbara Harris, Lin Schiffner & Sally Herring

Painting with ASiF Painters’ Guild
