Gwendolyn Marie Riske of Grass Valley passed away on Jan. 28, 2012, at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital. She was 90.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, March 30, 2012 at Indian Springs Cemetery, Indian Springs Road, Penn Valley.
Marie was born on Sept. 28, 1921, in Visalia to Jerry Moore and Beulah Jobe. She received her diploma from Tulare High School in 1939 and married William A. Riske on January 28, 1940, in Fresno.
Marie was a homemaker and member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, baking and taking the family to the beach.
She is survived by her sons, Al Riske of Redding, George Riske of Fort Bragg, and Bill Riske of Grass Valley; brothers, Dudley Moore of Visalia, and Jerry Hunter of Walnut Creek; grandchildren, Steve Riske, Tina Riske, and Emily Riske; and great-grandchildren, Haden Riske, Amanda Dunne, Rose Riske, and Dean Riske.
Marie is preceded in death by Barbara Higgins, Vivian Bennett, Loren Moore and Gertie Kabatek.
Memorial contributions may be sent to the local Red Cross.
Arrangements are in the care of Chapel of the Angels Mortuary in Grass Valley.
