Nevada County might see one contested race for Superior Court judge this year. Former Nevada County Deputy District Attorney George Smyrnos has filed a candidate intention form for seat 1, running against incumbent Thomas Anderson.

Smyrnos said he is still exploring options and most likely will file his declaration of candidacy in a few weeks.

Robert Tamietti and B. Scott Thomsen have filed their intention forms for their respective seats and are running unopposed.
