The Grass Valley Wine Co. will host a benefit for Tresa Honaker of AirAligned 5 to 9 p.m. Friday.

Entertainment will be donated by legendary local group, Travis & Blue Company. Wines by the glass and bottle along with light appetizers and special Chocolate & Red Wine flights will be available during the show. The Wine Co. will donate 25 percent of night's profits in addition to all cover charges collected at the door.

On Jan. 11, Honaker fell 15 feet while practicing her aerial work causing permanent injury to her spinal cord. Although paralyzed from the waist down, Tresa hopes to continue her work teaching dance and aerial, choreographing and cutting hair. This may take some time and she will need financial support for ongoing medical expenses.

Tresa was a founding member of The Movement Alliance Modern Dance Company and founder and current director of AirAligned aerial dance group.

AirAligned was chosen as the recipient of the 2010 Dr. Leland and Sally Lewis Performing Arts Award, which is presented annually by the Nevada City Chamber of Commerce.

Tresa is a contributing member of The Center for the Arts in Grass Valley and has been instrumental in the growth of children's performance workshops held at The Center.
