Steve Frisch, president of the Sierra Business Council, will be the guest speaker at the monthly First Tuesday social hour at 5:30 tonight hosted by the Nevada County Democrats. His topic will be, “How We Can Influence Growth in the Sierra.”

The stated mission of The Sierra Business Council is “to pioneer innovative approaches and solutions that foster community vitality, environmental quality, economic prosperity, and social fairness in the Sierra Nevada.”

This informal meeting will be in the basement hall of the Nevada City Veterans Building at 415 Pine Street. Enter from the parking lot off Commercial Street. Complimentary pizza and salad will be served, along with no-host soft drinks, beer and wine.

The Nevada County Democrats have established these monthly meetings as a forum for broadening insight into local and wider political and social issues. All interested citizens are welcome.
