Ryan Stephen Helfter of Nevada City passed away on Jan. 31, 2012, in Grass Valley. He was 19.
Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at the Peace Lutheran Church on West Main Street in Grass Valley.
Ryan was born on Aug. 21, 1992, in Los Gatos to Steven and Christina Helfter. He was a 2010 graduate from Nevada Union High School. Ryan was employed at Gold Country Automotive and AMA Recycling.
He enjoyed riding dirt bikes, snowboarding, wakeboarding, 4x4 and camping.
He is survived by his father, Steven Helfter; mother, Christina Helfter; sisters, Jentrie Adams and Karlie Helfter; and brother-in-law, Andy Adams.
