Robert (Don) D. Fassino passed away on Jan. 25, 2012 in Kalama, Wash., at the Hospice Center surrounded by family.
There are no services as per his wishes.
He was born July 8, 1937 in Krebs, Okla., to Mike and Margaret Fassino (Davis).
As an infant, his family moved to Grass Valley. He attended Mt. St. Mary's, Hennessy and Grass Valley High, graduating with the Class of 1955. He worked briefly for the U. S. Forrest Service and served in the Army 1960 to 1963 in Germany. He was a longtime member of the Construction General Labor Union, working jobs locally, in Washington and Alaska.
He was also a member of the Elks. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and Alaska.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Ann Fassino; brother, Mike Fassino (Judy); son, Robert W. Fassino (Toni); daughters, Bertina Brown and Donna Bridi (Steve); grandsons, Shawn Belloli (Angela), Brian Belloli, Jeffery Moeschler and Christopher Fassino; granddaughters, Melissa Orth, Bobby-Lynn Slade; and six great-grandchildren; numerous cousins; nieces, and nephews.
Predeceased by his mother and father, and great-grandson, Charlie Orth.
