Local artist Douglas Hooper will demonstrate his unique style of photography in the Artist in Action program from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Art Works Gallery.

Douglas uses long exposures in the dark of night to create his magical images. During his demonstration, he will make artistic portraits of those attending and will answer questions about photography and his creations.

Douglas Hooper has been living and breathing photography for 30 years. He has done commercial work, photographed weddings and events, taught classes for children and adults, worked in photo labs, won awards and judged photography competitions.
