Basketball
Josh Ritchart (Forest Lake Christian '10) UC Davis — Ritchart and the Aggies dropped to 1-7 this season as they fell Saturday to Idaho 94-74.In the loss, Ritchart scored 10 points in 21 minutes of playing time to go with four rebounds and an assist.
The freshmen center went 1-3 from beyond the arc, upping his season total to a team-high 20 three-pointers made.
Ritchart is averaging a team-high 14.9 points per game and just under five rebounds per game through UC Davis' first eight contests.
The Aggies will look for their first win since the middle of November when they face Hawai'i, Sunday.
Patrick Scott (Bear River '09) Sonoma State — Scott and the Seawolves got off to a rough start in conference play, losing their first two California Collegiate Athletic Association games.
In Friday's game, Scott scored 15 points, dished out two assists and nabbed a rebound in the Seawolves 89-85 loss to Cal State East Bay.
In Saturday's game Scott was contained to only scoring five points as the Seawolves fell to Cal State Monterey Bay 80-72.
The two losses drop Sonoma State's season record to 2-4 and 0-2 in the CCAA.
Scott and the Seawolves will try to break into the conference win column Saturday as they head to Humboldt to take on the Lumberjacks.
Caroline Reeves (Nevada Union '08) Cal Poly San Luis Obispo — Reeves and the Mustangs came up just a bit short against Pepperdine falling to the non-conference foe 80-78.
Reeves made the best of her time coming off the bench. In just 18 minutes of play time Reeves went 5-6 shooting for 11 points. She also grabbed two offensive rebounds and an assist while in for the Mustangs.
The loss drops Cal Poly San Luis Obispo to 3-3 this season.
