Taylor Barney passed away Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2011, in a car accident. He was 18.
A memorial service will be held 4 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 1, 2011, at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 12889 Osborne Hill Road, Grass Valley. The family will be grateful for the comfort of family and friends at a potluck at the church immediately following.
Born in Grass Valley, Calif., on Dec. 9, 1992, Taylor was the son of Steve Barney and Darlene King.
Taylor was surrounded by his incredible aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He had attended Nevada Union High School and was fortunate to be employed by Hills Flat Lumber for the past seven months. He was a natural athlete, and loved to snowboard and work out.
He will be remembered by his sister, Sydney; grandparents, Ed and Mary Barney, Art and Sylvia King, Jerry Lawton and was cherished by his late grandmother Sharon King.
