Patrick Scott, a 2009 Bear River graduate, led all scorers with 33 points Saturday night, but Sonoma State was unable to grab the victory, falling to Concordia 97-89.
With the loss, Sonoma State goes 1-1 in the 11th Annual Ron Logsdon Basketball Classic.

Caroline Reeves (Nevada Union '08) Cal Poly San Luis Obispo — Reeves put in 15 minutes of work in the Mustangs 82-66 victory over the University of San Francisco, Wednesday.
Reeves scored two points and nabbed one rebound in the victory.
Cal Poly San Luis Obispo is now 1-1 to start the season.

Water Polo
Angela Murphy (Nevada Union '11) Sierra College — Murphy and the Sierra College water polo team had a good showing in the Nor Cal Championship Tournament, beating Fresno City College 6-4 before falling to No. 1 seed Merced 7-5 in the semi-finals.Sierra College ended up with a fourth place finish in the tournament after a loss to American River in the third-place game.
Murphy finished the season with 10 goals on 31 shots, seven assists and 15 steals.
Natalie Fernandez (Nevada Union '11) Sierra College — Fernandez contributed 11 goals on 37 shots for the Sierra College water polo team this season.
Fernandez also tallied eight assists and 25 steals this year.
Sierra College finished the year 12-12 in the regular season and has gone 1-3 in post season play.
Volleyball
Kylie Miraldi (Nevada Union '08) San Jose State — Miraldi had 10 kills in the Spartans regular season finale against Texas Tech.The senior also notched three blocks and two digs in the five set victory.
Miraldi and San Jose State finish the season 12-16 overall and 6-8 in the Western Athletic Conference.
The Spartans will face New Mexico State today in the first game of the WAC tournament.
Football
Taylor Dever (Nevada Union '07) University of Notre Dame — Dever and Notre Dame outlasted long-time rival Boston College 16-14, Saturday. The win makes it eight this season for the Fighting Irish as they near the end of the regular season.The senior offensive tackle helped Notre Dame eat up 417 total yards in the victory, 161 of those yards coming on the ground.
With the victory, Notre Dame improves to 8-3 overall and will try to close the season with a win against Stanford.
Zach Masch (Nevada Union '07) University of Hawai'i — Masch tallied three tackles Saturday in the Warriors' 24-21 loss to Fresno State.
The senior defensive end also grabbed a tackle for a loss in the contest. Masch has 33 tackles on the season to go with 1.5 sacks and two forced fumbles.
Hawaii is now 5-6 on the season and 3-4 in its last season playing in the Western Athletic Conference as they will switch to the Mountain West Conference next season.
The Warriors will hope to turn things around as they host Tulane, Saturday.
Dan Pettinato (Nevada Union '10) University of Arizona — Pettinato wrapped up two tackles in Arizona's 31-27 victory over in-state rival Arizona State.
The redshirt freshman has now tallied 14 tackles on the season and has got the start at defensive end the last three games.
The Wildcats improve their record to 3-8 and 2-7 in PAC-12 play.
Arizona has one final game against Louisiana-Lafayette, Saturday.
Cole Stanford (Nevada Union '08) Cal Poly San Luis Obispo — Stanford got his second carry of the season, busting for 16 yards against South Alabama.
The Mustangs beat South Alabama 41-10 in the season finale, giving them a record of 6-5 for the season.
Stanford also tallied a special teams tackle in the victory.
Zach Vallejo (Nevada Union '11) Yuba College — Vallejo and Yuba College beat Monterey Peninsula College 28-27, Saturday, in the Yuba College Sierra Central Bowl.
Vallejo was voted Defensive Most Valuable Player in the contest. The freshmen grabbed eight tackles and two sacks in the victory.
The defensive standout grabbed 75 tackles this season, two sacks and eight tackles for loss.
