Homeowners can utilize the Nevada County Contractors' Association in several ways to help with construction projects. Whether the project is a complete construction of a custom home, addition, or remodel; homeowners can utilize the services of the association fREE of charge.
Placing plans in the planroom
Homeowners can place a copy of their plans in the NCCA Planroom. This is a convenient option. The homeowner can solicit for a general contractor to oversee the complete construction process or request sub bids as an Owner/ Builder. The project is posted (advertised) in the “Weekly E-Bulletin” and the NCCA website informing members that the project is out for bid. You can direct contractors to the NCCA to review your plans, thus saving a tremendous amount of time trying to drop off plans to contractors. The NCCA has a plans copier, so you or the contractor can make copies of plans at a reasonable cost. Additionally, homeowners can make appointments to meet with the contractors at the NCCA.

Remodels and Additions
The association is an excellent resource for those homeowners who are wishing to remodel or add on to their existing home. If you do not have plans for a project, the association can refer you to an architect or designer. There are several general contractors that do design/build and work with the homeowner from conception to the finished project.
Referrals
A homeowner can utilize the NCCA referral system. The NCCA membership is diverse with licensed contractors that can fit every need from moving dirt, grading and excavating, to plumbing, electrical, framing, windows, doors, landscaping and drywall contractors. homeowners can contact the association for referrals or visit them online. There are many benefits to using a licensed contractor who is a member of a professional organization such as the NCCA.
