People touched by cancer in Nevada County raised more than $88,000 for research seeking a cure for cancer and encouraging prevention and treatment.
The team that raised the most money during the Relay for Life, held Saturday at the Nevada County Fairgrounds and concluding Sunday, was Citizens for Life, sponsored by Citizens Bank. Members led by bank Branch Administrator Linda Bulotti raised $13,416; Bulotti, herself a survivor of stage 4 cancer that attacked her lungs, brain and lymph system, raised more than $3,000, according to event spokeswoman Lisa Perillo.
