The Dream and the Dreamer will play at 7 p.m. Friday, April 1, at the Golden Gate Saloon inside the Holbrooke Hotel in Grass Valley.
Other upcoming shows include the Copper Top Lounge on April 14 and the Old 5 Mile House on April 22. The Dream and the Dreamer will return to the Holbrooke on April 23.
The Dream and the Dreamer is Doug Caldwell on keyboards, acoustic guitar, harmonica and vocals, and Ray Laflin (AKA “Ray of Light”) on acoustic/electric guitars, percussion and vocals.
It's been over 30 years since they've seen each other and they've reunited in the duo Dream and the Dreamer, playing favorites from then and now.
Ray is also the leader singer for the Eurasian funk and blues band West Coast Juice.
“I never thought of playing cover tunes like the Beatles and Stones but it's been a blast. People love this stuff and they sing along and get up and dance too! With Doug playing keys we can hit all the bases. It sounds pretty close to the real thing."
