10:27 a.m. — A person brought a woman's purse into the police department lobby. The owner called in the afternoon and picked it up.
10:59 a.m. — A man from the 100 block of Wilson Street asked that an officer come because another man at the residence stole money from him. An officer arrived and arrested a man on suspicion of possession of drugs, being under the influence of a controlled substance and having drug paraphernalia.
11:56 a.m. — A woman called from the 200 block of Mill Street to report her red handbag had been stolen. That afternoon, some siblings found the purse and items scattered about in the alley behind a nearby business, and they returned everything to the police department. The woman picked up the items.
12:08 p.m. — An officer was out with seven youths when one ran away, possibly on a skateboard. The youth was found, cited for contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and released to parents.
12:22 p.m. — A youth on the 700 block of West Main Street smashed a chair over another youth's head. The alleged assailant was cited for battery.
3:21 p.m. — Two men were in a physical altercation by the barbecue pits at Memorial Park, and several more people were milling around. The men involved in the fight declined to press charges, and an officer told them to stay out of the park for three days.
4:05 p.m. — A person reported a group of young people were in Condon Park and selling pot to each other. One of them tried to sell marijuana to the caller. Officers could not find them.
4:13 p.m.— A caller reported a man in Condon Park who appeared to be meditating and was lying down. An officer found everything was fine.
5:18 p.m. – Two young men in a light-colored Jeep drove up on top of a large gravel pile on Idaho-Maryland Road at Sutton Way and were stuck. They had left by time an officer arrived.
6:01 p.m. — A woman was hit by a van and lying on the street on the 200 block of Northridge Drive; she was alert and conscious. Calfire responded.
8:28 p.m. — A male reported about eight teens kicked him on Empire at Marshall streets. An officer would follow up.
Saturday
1:07 a.m. — A man on the 200 block of Colfax Avenue reported he could see his family through a security monitor mounted on the wall, and he believed they were being hurt; the family did not live at the residence. Officers made contact with the man, arrested him and booked him into county jail on suspicion of being under the influence.
1:43 a.m. — A motorist flagged down an officer on West McKnight Way. The person needed directions.
2:54 a.m. — A woman on the 300 block of Empire Court reported hearing someone outside her window. An officer found nothing suspicious.
9:40 a.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Clark Street reported a very old and beat-up motor home on the street on blocks. It moves to a nearby alley every other week. Department volunteers would follow up.
3:14 p.m. — The Behavioral Health Department asked for a welfare check on a man on Harris Street who had called them and threatened to hurt himself. He was hallucinating and said he had killed a girl, but didn't know when. The man was transported to Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital.
3:28 p.m. — A person reported the daughter's roommate was pushing crank on her, and she was using drugs. The daughter was arrested on a no-bail warrant and booked into jail.
6:49 p.m. — The man who had earlier reported seeing his family through a security monitor was assaulted during a meeting on Colfax Avenue. The attacker allegedly had used brass knuckles, and a caller said the victim may have had a broken jaw. An officer talked to the victim at the hospital, and he did not want to press charges.
7:05 p.m. — A caller reported a verbal fight including yelling and threats between a man and a woman on the 100 block of East Berryhill Drive. One of them left.
7:43 p.m. – A man was arrested on the 100 block of South Auburn Street on suspicion of being drunk in public; he was booked into county jail.
9:45 p.m. — People reported they were jumped on the 100 block of Neal Street by a man and his girlfriend, and the alleged attackers left in a red, older car that may belong to a local business.

12:22 a.m. — A traffic stop on Hansen at Bank streets resulted in the arrest of a Nevada City man on suspicion of driving under the influence; he was booked into jail and released.
12:57 a.m. — A traffic stop on the 100 block of Neal Street resulted in the arrest of a man on suspicion of driving under the influence; he was booked into jail.
2:17 a.m. — A man who appeared drunk was walking in circles on the 100 block of Ophir Street. Police arrested the man on suspicion of public drunkenness and booked him into jail.
2:20 a.m. — A caller from Bank Street reported loud people getting in and out of a limousine in front of a business. The people said they would leave.

10:34 a.m. — Possible horse neglect was reported on the 16000 block of Del Mar Way. An emaciated horse was found, the owners were advised and a report was taken for Animal Control.
12:55 p.m. — Officers were on the lookout for a woman who told her 15-year-old daughter she was going to kill herself, and who possibly had her 11-year-old son in the car. An officer contacted the woman on Lone Pine Drive, and she was all right.
1:31 p.m. — A man from the 11000 block of Rough and Ready Highway reported he loaned his girlfriend his vehicle, who took it to PIttsburg, Calif., several days earlier and refused to return it. The man spoke to the woman, who said she would return and vehicle and “settle things” the following day.
2:47 p.m. — A caller from the 12000 block of Mooney Flat Road reported the theft of about 40 T-posts from a job site.
3:49 p.m. — A girl called from Ridge Road reporting her father had been drinking and was very angry when she returned home from school; he hit walls and yelled at her, yanked her on the arm, and she didn't feel safe at her house. An officer was to meet the girl, but she was gone on arrival. The girl's father denied the argument had gotten physical. The deputy was able to contact the girl, who provided more information.
3:49 p.m. — A man reported the birth father of his adopted children is harassing them on MySpace. He would give an officer more information.
4:16 p.m. — A caller from the 24000 block of Green Valley Road reported a physical fight between two females, at least one of them a juvenile who left in a red vehicle. An officer contacted the caller.
6:06 a.m. — A woman from the 10000 block of Hawke Lane reported her boyfriend had yanked her out of her car and left in it, taking $300 in cash. The California Highway Patrol took the woman to her vehicle. An ongoing civil issue surrounds the vehicle.
7:29 p.m. — A man from the 15000 block of Mount Olive Road reported being harassed on Craig's List.
9:41 p.m. – A caller from Gracie Road reported hearing multiple shots in the area.
11:28 p.m. — A man from the 13000 block of Alpha Road reported a verbal argument with his wife, and said both had been drinking. One person was arrested.

5:11 a.m. — A man from the 10000 block of Boulder Street reported his caregiver made death threats.
7:21 a.m. — A woman reported she had driven off the road sometime during the night, she didn't know where she was, but was down an embankment. The latitude and longitude of her location were noted, and Calfire and the California Highway Patrol responded. The woman had been drinking.
9:10 a.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Gracie Road reported a man had been sitting in a black Chevrolet Silverado pickup and moving the truck to different parking spots up and down the street. He told a neighbor he was waiting for his girlfriend.
12:53 p.m. — A vehicle stop at Newtown near Bitney Springs roads resulted in the arrest of a Nevada City woman on suspicion of being under the influence; she was booked into jail and released.
1:29 p.m. — A caller from Red Dog Road reported motorcycles racing up and down the road.
3:17 p.m. — A man from Baker Court reported a former neighbor showed up at the neighbor's house, which is in foreclosure and hasn't been occupied since April 2010. The former neighbor became very irate and accused the caller of causing the foreclosure, and told the caller the former neighbor should have burned down the caller's house. The caller said he hadn't seen the former neighbor in four years.
3:51 p.m. – A caller reported several dirt bikes, 4-wheelers and quads were running off-road on Steep Hollow Creek.
11:19 p.m. – A person from the 11000 block of Lakeshore North reported vandalism to his mailbox during the day.

1:02 a.m. — A vehicle stop on Nevada City Highway at Brunswick Road led to the arrest of a Nevada City man on suspicion of driving under the influence. He was booked into jail and released.
1:59 a.m. — A vehicle stop on Highway 49 at Gold Flat Road led to the arrest of a Nevada City man on suspicion of driving on a suspended license, driving under the influence and a probation violation. He was booked into jail and released.
8:05 a.m. — A man from the 18000 block of Brewer Road reported his elderly dog was in the middle of the road and could not move his back legs; the dog weighed about 145 pounds and was trying to bite the man, who asked for assistance moving the animal so he could take it to be put down. He was given information for a veterinarian who would come out.
