Bear River's Breanne Mitchell signed a National Letter of Intent Wednesday to run cross country and track at University of Arkansas, Little Rock.

She accepted a full scholarship to attend the school.

Wednesday's announcement was hosted by the Bear River athletic department and attended by family, friends and various staff members.

This past cross country season, Mitchell blazed a trail with numerous first-place wins.

She finished 13th in state cross country competition this year and 10th the previous year.

Mitchell took eighth place in the Sac-Joaquin Section Track & Field Masters meet last year.
