Wine bottle refill shop opens in Nevada City

Frustrated by the toll wine bottles are taking on the environment, Tony Norskog is launching a new kind of tasting room in Nevada City.Customers can buy a bottle of wine at BYOB, then bring it back for refills and get a $1 discount.The idea came when Norskog heard that only about 7 percent of glass recyclables actually get reused."While recycling is great, reuse is even better," he said. Norskog is founder of Nevada County Wine Guild, which produces nationally-distributed Our Daily Red and Orleans Hill organic wine.
