So here we sit in a dark house, all blinds closed to help keep out the heat, hostages of PG&E. We can't use the air conditioner, or the computer, wash clothes or turn on lights.

Deathly afraid of the dreaded double or triple bill that's coming. Never have used much electric, bill was always less than $100.

We are seniors on a fixed income, just a little too much income to get a discount. We both have serious medical problems that keep us from going too many places so the TV was our main entertainment.

We will have to decide what meds or food we will have to give up to pay the electric bill next month.

Our friends were out of town for a month, everything unplugged. Their bill more than doubled. Why? This is not right. This is what our governments are supposed to protect us against.

We don't know what we are going to do. We could sell our house and move to Nevada, and we intend to when the market goes back up.
