Gladys Christina Ripley of Cadiz, Ky., formerly of Grass Valley, died May 21. She was 81.
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Sept. 9 at Greenwood Memorial Lawn Cemetery, Grass Valley.
She was born in Calumet, Okla., on Nov. 6, 1928, to George Saulsbury and Hattie Crothers Blair.
She was owner and operator of the Pine Cone Café, Grass Valley. Mrs. Ripley was a volunteer for the food bank and hospice in California.
She is predeceased by her husband William D. Ripley; son David R. Ripley; and parents, George Saulsbury and Hattie Crothers Blair.
Survivors include daughter Linda (Tom) Scully, Cadiz, Ky.; brother Frank Massey, California; sister Georgia Cox, California; grandson- and granddaughter-in-law, Shawn and Amy Scully, Nashville, Tenn.; grandson, Benjamin Ripley, Grass Valley; granddaughter- and grandson-in-law, Misty and Shawn Farley, Grass Valley; three great-grandchildren, Ethan and Hannah Scully, Nashville, Tenn., and Shawn D. Farley, Grass Valley; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be made to Pennyroyal Hospice Inc., 220 Burley Ave., Hopkinsville, KY 42240.
