Hospice of the Foothills on Thursday received a state license to open its new in-patient care center near Grass Valley,
"We're ready to accept patients as early as Monday," elated Executive Director Vanessa Bengston said Thursday. "We are looking fowa5rd to serving the community's needs and those of our patients."
The nonprofit program offering care for the dying and their families finished the $7.5 million facility in October 2008, but meeting rigorous California licensing regulations has taken longer than construction.
