Nevada Union High School will hosts a charity basketball game at 7 p.m. Friday in the school's Ali Gymnasium, pitting members of the senior class against NU staff members.
The game is being organized as a senior project by former Lady Miner standout Jordan Milhous.
Admission is $2, although donations will also be accepted, as the proceeds will be directed to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.

Tourney benefits Sierra Services for the Blind
The seventh annual Gold Country Golf Classic will be held June 9 at the Ridge Golf Course in Auburn to support Sierra Services for the Blind.The tournament, sponsored by Grass Valley Group, B&C Home and Garden Center, KNCO and KAHI, will be hosted by Mitch Juricich of the radio and TV “Hooked on Golf” programs.
Cost is $125 per golfer, including a lunch and banquet dinner. Several contests also will be held, including a $10,000 prize offered by Citzens Bank for a hole-in-one.

Golf tourney supports Mt. Saint Mary's Academy
The Mount Saint Mary's Academy 2010 Golf Tournament will tee off at Alta Sierra Country Club June 5.Cost is $115 per golfer and includes golf, range balls, prizes and dinner. Proceeds directly benefit Mount Saint Mary's Academy, the oldest continuously operating Catholic school west of the Mississippi, through its scholarship fund, facility maintenance, equipment and other classroom needs.
