The Grass Valley Elks would like to congratulate Lodge Esquire and Scouting Chairman Jim Bowman on his Silver Beaver Award. The Silver Beaver Award was introduced in 1931 by the Boy Scouts of America for distinguished service.

Recipients of this award are registered adult leaders who implement the Scouting program and perform community service through hard work, self sacrifice, dedication, and many years of service. They have had a major impact on the lives of youth through service given to the Boy Scout Council. The Grass Valley Elks, and Jim in particular, support Cub Scout Pack 21, Boy Scout Troop 21 and Venture Crew 21.
