Terry Lamphier has pulled nomination papers to run against incumbent John Spencer for the 3rd District supervisor spot in the June 8 primary election.
Lamphier will be an official candidate if he turns the papers back in by Friday at 5 p.m., and is expected to do so.
“There are people I respect who are encouraging me to do this,” Lamphier said Tuesday afternoon.
The announced candidate said his run against Spencer for the Grass Valley area supervisor's spot in 2006 was closer than he expected, and gave him encouragement to try again.
