The search engine giant invited communities to submit creative videos on why they are the best candidate for the Google Fiber for Communities project, which promises the infrastructure for Internet access 100 times faster than DSL or cable.
Preliminary plans call for a road-closing parade on Sunday, March 13, in Nevada City to be the backdrop of the video. John Paul and Chip Carman, co-owners of Spiral Internet, are organizing the effort.
