Caltrans plans the following highway work through Friday:
Long-term projects
• Interstate 80 (Nevada County) from Donner Summit to Donner Lake: Work continues on the $71 million Donner III construction project to improve Interstate 80.Work includes repaving the existing roadway with Portland Cement Concrete, reconstructing failed sections of roadway, adding new drainage systems, upgrading existing drainage systems and construction of a new sediment/debris collection system. Completion is expected in 2011. Project is on winter suspension.
• Interstate 80 (Nevada County) from Donner Lake to Donner Pass Road in Truckee: Work continues on the $70 million Donner I construction project to improve Interstate 80.
Work includes repaving the existing roadway with Portland Cement Concrete, reconstructing failed sections of roadway, adding new drainage systems, upgrading existing drainage systems, construction of a westbound truck-climbing lane from Donner Pass Road to the Donner Lake Interchange and construction of a new sediment/debris collection system. Completion is expected in 2010. Project is on winter suspension.
• Interstate 80 (Nevada County) from Boca to the Nevada State line: Work continues on the $73 million Truckee River Canyon construction project to improve Interstate 80.
Work includes repaving the existing roadway with Portland Cement Concrete, reconstructing failed sections of roadway, adding new drainage systems, upgrading existing drainage systems, construction of a westbound truck-climbing lane from Donner Pass Road to the Donner Lake Interchange and construction of a new sediment/debris collection system. Completion is expected in 2010. Project is on winter suspension.
Short-term projects
State Route 20 (Nevada County) from the Yuba County line to Interstate 80: Motorists can expect various east and westbound lane closures from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. A Caltrans Crew is scheduled to do brush clearing.State Route 49 (Nevada County) from the Placer County line to the Yuba County line: Motorists can expect north and southbound #1 lane closures from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. A Caltrans crew is scheduled to do brush clearing.

The Caltrans District Traffic Management Branch has reviewed each project and determined that individual project delays are expected to be less than the statewide policy maximum of 30 minutes, unless noted otherwise above.Lanes are numbered from the center divide (#1) to the shoulder (#2, 3, 4, etc.).
