Bob Breck, executive of KNCO radio in Grass Valley, will be grand marshal of the 2010 Nevada City Mardi Gras Parade.
The celebration is set for Feb. 13-14, with the parade set for 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 14.
KNCO has “always been very supportive of the chamber's events and activities,” said Cathy Whittlesey, executive manager of the sponsoring Nevada City Chamber of Commerce.
Breck is CEO and part-owner of Nevada County Broadcasters, operator of KNCO NewsTalk 830 and Star 94 FM in Grass Valley and KUBA in Yuba County.
Breck is past chairman of the Grass Valley/Nevada County Chamber of Commerce and past president of the Grass Valley Rotary Club. He has been involved with numerous other community groups.
He graduated from California State University, San Jose, in radio and television and has an extensive background in the broadcast industry, including positions in news, programming and radio station management and development.
Breck and Anna, his wife of 29 years, live in Alta Sierra and have two children, Bobby and Alison.
