Patricia “Pat” Rodebaugh died Nov. 30 with her husband, Jack, by her side.
It was Mrs. Rodebaugh's wish that no services be held. Family and friends will hold a celebration of her life at a later date.
She was born Feb. 21, 1927, in Seattle. Her family moved to San Francisco when she was in her early teens.
She attended Poly Tech High School, where she received a scholarship to Disneyland Studios; due to hard times, she could not attend.
During World War II, she worked at the Jerry Building serving the troops.
She married at 19 and had four children: Michael, twin daughters, Janet and Jeanene, and Anne.
In the early 1950s, she moved to Portola Valley. She worked as a caterer and then spent 20 years with Allstate as a senior underwriting assistant.
After a divorce, she met the love of her life, Jack Rodebaugh. They married in April 1971.
After retiring from Allstate, Mrs. Rodebaugh enjoyed cooking, sewing, searching for antiques in Half Moon Bay, reading, beading and spending time with family and friends. She was often seen driving around town in her little white PT Cruiser.
Mrs. Rodebaugh is survived by her husband, Jack; children, Michael, of Oregon, Janet (David), of Greenwood, Calif., and Anne, of Nevada City; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Gwen Grage; daughter, Jeanene Parker; sister, Camille; brother, Ed; and nephew, Jason Benet.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Hospice of the Foothills.
