In Cornwall County, England, the male voice choir tradition goes back as far as anyone can remember. Cornish miners came to Grass Valley during the Gold Rush of 1849 when their skills in hard rock mining were needed to extract gold from the Earth.

With them came their rich tradition of singing. An all-male voice choir sang in Grass Valley for over 90 years. As gold mining faded in Grass Valley so did the male voice choir. Thanks to her passion and love of these traditions,

Eleanor Kenitzer founded the Grass Valley Male Voice Choir in 1997. The choir toured Cornwall in 2000 and 2002.

Although Cornish music still comprises a large portion of the choir's repertoire, American spirituals, classics, Broadway tunes and Christmas favorites are also performed by this talented group.

The popular annual Christmas Bazaar will be held once again in the lobby of the IOOF Hall before the concert, during intermission and after the concert. Many wonderful items will be available for purchase, including tasty Christmas delectables. Raffle tickets will available at the hall with gifts being offered from many local merchants; the drawing will take place after the concert.
