For Phil and Belinda Carville, Nell Scannon of Loma Rica Ranch
Thank you for your ongoing commitment and efforts to create an even more sustainable and enjoyable environment for us residents of western Nevada County. The temporary closure of your organic farm, as the most visible benefit and harbinger of greater and positive development the Loma Rica Ranch project, is dismaying but not unexpected in the current economic condition.
Noor, that iconic thoroughbred champion, resting peacefully in the center of the track, will patiently await the resumption of your progress ... as will we.
Keep up the good work!

For Holbrooke's support
A big “thank you!” goes out to Michael Nudelman and others who make up Holbrooke Hotel, LLC, for hosting the Evening Out benefit United Way of Nevada County on Nov. 13. It was a great success as many people enjoyed a delicious meal at The Holbrooke and helping their community at the same time. The owners generously donated 10 percent of all proceeds from the evening to UWNC and its partner agencies. Thank you, again!Staff of United Way of Nevada County
For County's Drug Task Force
The management and staff of the Holiday Lodge would like to thank the Nevada County Sheriff's Drug Task Force on a job well done. We offer our congratulations on the swift action and courteous manner in which they handled the arrest of the reprobate. The management works very hard within the community to dispel negative feedback as a longtime member of and an ambassador for both Grass Valley/Nevada County and the Nevada City Chambers of Commerce. All the while the housekeeping and maintenance staff work very diligently to keep the building, grounds and our rooms clean, comfortable and quiet.
We are very proud of the Grass Valley Police and the Nevada County Sheriff's departments. Our staff is happy to cooperate and partner with both of them to keep drug users and especially dealers off of our streets.
Thank you again, from all of us at the Holiday Lodge. God bless you.
