Youth volunteers from Nevada County's Peer Advocates for Health held a candlelight vigil Tuesday night at Nevada City Hall to mark World AIDS Day.
The vigil featured speakers, including a local woman living with HIV, and an instrumental performance.
The volunteers work through on-campus clubs at local high schools to educate their peers about reproductive health issues, including HIV and AIDS.
For more on the state of HIV and AIDS in the county, see Thursday's edition of The Union.
