Of the 10 people arrested Oct. 14 in a drug raid in Grass Valley, seven are wending their way through the Nevada County Superior Court system.
Kellie Michelle Bowlan, a tenant at the house in the 100 block of Doris Drive in Grass Valley that was raided by undercover narcotics officers, originally was arrested on suspicion of possessing heroin for sale, possessing heroin and drug paraphernalia, including a syringe, and committing a felony while out on bail or own recognizance. Prosecutors opted not to file charges against her, however.
But boyfriend Dusty Luke Miller, 26, remains in custody in county jail in lieu of $80,000 bail.
Miller has pleaded not guilty to possession of heroin, possession of heroin for sale, maintaining a building for selling and using heroin, unlawful possession of a hypodermic needle and possession of heroin while armed with a firearm. His next court date is 1 p.m. Jan. 7.
During the raid, Miller allegedly tried to retreat back into the house when he was presented with the warrant and had to be pulled out forcibly by officers.
Officers allegedly found evidence of heroin sales, including pay-owe sheets and numerous hypodermic needles, packaging material and more than $2,000 in cash. They also allegedly found 30 grams of suspected tar heroin packaged for sale, with an estimated street value of $3,000, several prescription painkiller Dilaudid pills and a loaded .22 pistol in the dresser drawer in the bedroom.
The other eight people arrested allegedly came to the house to purchase heroin and were arrested one by one by undercover officers. Most were looking to buy a half-gram to a gram of heroin, officers said.
Daniel Murphy, 23, of Grass Valley, was cited and released at the scene.
Brian Daehoon Kim, 24, pleaded guilty to possession of instruments for injecting or smoking controlled substances. He was to enroll in drug counseling and entry of judgment was deferred.
Forest Zachariah Graham, 21, was charged with offering to sell heroin. Graham also was set to be sentenced after pleading to drug charges filed in June 2008 involving possession of methadone and the anti-anxiety drug Lorazepam. He missed several court appearances and is next set to appear in court Jan. 4.
Katelyn Renee Imsdahl, 22, of Grass Valley, was charged with offering to sell heroin and released on her own recognizance. She was arraigned Nov. 9 and is set to enter a plea Dec. 3.
Bradley Daniel Zinola, 21, of Grass Valley, was charged with offering to sell heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia and released on his own recognizance. He was arraigned Nov. 9 and is set to enter a plea Dec. 3.
Kalen Drake Turner, 19, of Washington, was charged with attempting to offer to sell heroin. Turner is also in three other misdemeanor proceedings: unlawful use of Dilaudid and unlawful possession of a hypodermic needle; second-degree commercial burglary and receiving stolen property; and theft.
Turner was arraigned Oct. 26 and released on his own recognizance. He pleaded not guilty and is next set to appear in court Dec. 10.
Bradly James Walker, 33, listed as a transient, was charged with offering to sell heroin and released on his own recognizance. He was arraigned Nov. 9 and is set to enter a plea Dec. 10.
Jeffrey Allen Moody, 26, of Rough and Ready, was charged with offering to sell heroin and released on his own recognizance. He was arraigned Nov. 9 and is set to enter a plea Dec. 3.
