Nicholas DeFilippo died Monday, Nov. 23, in Grass Valley. He was 91.
A visitation and wake will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 4, at Graham Funeral Home in Rye, N.Y. A mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, at Resurrection Church in Rye, N.Y. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Greenwich, Conn.
Mr. DeFilippo was born August 6, 1918, in Rye, N.Y., to Charles and Mary (Frederico) DeFilippo. He graduated from Rye High School.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He married Antoinette Clement on March 30, 1942, in Greenwich, Conn.
Mr. DeFilippo owned Tarrytown Automotive. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Triple A, Rye Golf Club and Peachtree Country Club in Yuba City. He enjoyed golf and big band music and was an avid sports fan.
He is survived by his wife, Antoinette DeFilippo, formerly of Yuba City; daughter Patricia (David) Caldwell, of Nevada City; granddaughters Briana (Alex) Ezzell, of Nevada, City, and Lauren (Micah) Cone, of Berkeley: sister Mary Calandrucci, of White Plains, N.Y.; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles DeFilippo, in 1972, and his mother, Mary DeFilippo, in 1920.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross.
Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary, Nevada City, and Graham Funeral Home, Rye.
