Raymond F. Wootan died Friday, Nov. 20, in Grass Valley. He was 63.

A celebration of his life will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 29, at 16029 Annie Dr., Alta Sierra.

Mr. Wootan was born Oct. 5, 1946, in San Francisco to Fred L. and Marie Wootan. He served in the United States Air Force.

He enjoyed playing golf.

Mr. Wootan is survived by his wife, Jean M. Wootan, of Grass Valley; son Brent Wootan, of Folsom; step-children Edward (Heidi) Andersen, of Grass Valley, John (Karen) Andersen of Sacramento, and Jennifer Andersen, of Gainesville, Ga.; and grandchildren Sidnee, Jaycee and Talen Andersen of Grass Valley.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary, Nevada City.
