Watercolor artist Jessica Subotnik of Nevada City was recently honored with a prize in an international show which opened in Kent, Conn. The North East Watercolor Society 33rd Annual International Exhibition awarded the cash prize to Subotnik's still life painting “Purple Plate and Bag.” The same painting received an award previously at a national watercolor exhibition in New York State.
Subotnik will host a Thanksgiving weekend open studio on Friday and Saturday only. She will have new small works for $200 or less, as well as her usual array of originals, prints, and cards.
