Adrienne Bradley, a 2009 Bear River High School graduate and president of the California FFA Association, will walk alongside the “FFA Today” float in the 121st Tournament of Roses Parade Jan. 1.
The float is sponsored by RFD-TV, a television network dedicated to rural America.
The float honors the national FFA organization, which cultivates half a million rural students across the country and helps them pursue a wide variety of careers. It's the first time the national FFA will participate in the Rose Parade.
“I am so proud to represent California and our fellow FFA members in this history-making effort to take (our) message around the world,” Bradley said. “This will truly be a once-in-a-lifetime experience.”
Bradley, who now lives in Galt where she fulfills her state FFA duties, will join FFA presidents from 49 other states, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.
Bradley will help decorate the float in the days leading up to the parade and will participate in other events surrounding the Rose Bowl football game.
