Cara Jean Pagano and Ryan Daniel Lake (pictured) were married July 12 at an afternoon garden wedding at Monte Verde Inn in Foresthill among 100 of their close friends and family that included aunts, uncles, grandparents and cousins from Southern California and Virginia.
Judge Joan McCormack officiated, which made the wedding very special, as she is the mother of the groom's longtime friend.
The maid of honor was Lani Ackerman, a longtime high school friend. Bridesmaids were Susie Apperson, cousin of the bride and Natalie Caponera, friend of the bride. Junior bridesmaids were Ashley and Kayle Silva, nieces of the groom.
The best man was Keving Lake, brother of groom. Groomsmen were Robert Merenda and Johnny Holloway, longtime friends of the groom.
The ushers were Craig and Corey Pagano, brothers of the bride. The flower girl was Anna Benham, the maid of honor's daughter.
After the ceremony the guests were treated to a sit down five course dinner and three tiered cake decorated with blue hydrangeas, all prepared by the owners of Monte Verde Inn, Doug and Kelly Dalisa. Dancing followed and everyone celebrated late into the evening in the garden patio that was decorated with hydrangeas, twinkling lights in the trees, and candlelit lanterns.
The bride is the daughter of Cathy and Craig Pagano.
She attended Bear River High School and graduated from CSUS with a degree in child development and from National University with a teaching credential.
She works for the city of Roseville.
The groom is the son of Natalie and Mike Lake.
He attended Oakmont High School, and graduated from Heald College with a degree in computer science.
He works at Surewest Communications.
The couple honeymooned in the Bahamas, and live in Roseville.
