Leon Rogers Martin of Grass Valley died Wednesday, Oct. 28, at the age of 69.
A celebration of life will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, at Condon Park in Grass Valley.
Mr. Martin was born Sept. 16, 1940, in Marysville to Andrew Schow and Bernice Alvira (Rogers) Martin.
He retired from the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) after working more than 45 years as a heavy equipment operator.
He enjoyed fishing and hunting and was a member of the North American Fishing Club.
Mr. Martin is survived by his brother, Albert Martin of Marysville; children, Judy (Kevin) Huss of Kelsey, Pamela (Jon) Kuhn, Robbin Lee Martin of Grass Valley, and Tony (Linda) Martin of Edgewater, Fla.; grandchildren Austin Randol Jacobs, Michael Keith Johnson and Lucas Matthew Kuhn of Grass Valley, Brandon John Huss of Rose Valley, Timothy Rogers Martin and Jeremy Vance Martin of Carson City, Nev., Patrisha Renee Jacobs, Amanda Marie Johnson, Jessica Marie Martin, Amber Lynn Martin and Kimberly Rose Martin of Grass Valley, and Jamie Lucille Martin of Edgewater, Fla.; and great-grandchildren Lilly Ray Amber Rose Martin, Jeremy James Johnson, Aurura Nikole Martin and Brendin Ray Austin Evans.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper & Weaver Mortuary.
