Local art at BriarPatch

You can still buy many beautiful works by local artists at the BriarPatch Co-op Market's sale to benefit the Food Bank of Nevada County. Take a look next time you're by there.

“Andy Capp” is back

Thanks to all the calls and e-mails, “Andy Capp” returned to the comics page on Friday. “Prickly City” has been moved to the editorial page.

Diapers needed

The Nevada County Diaper Project is requesting diaper donations for young local families in need. Unopened packages can be dropped off at Interfaith Food Ministry, 551 Whiting St. in Grass Valley; or monetary donations can be mailed to the Nevada County Diaper Fund at Citizens Bank, 11362 Pleasant Valley Road in Penn Valley.

For more information, call (530) 432-1974.
