In conjunction with a storewide sale, California Organics is operating a food drive to benefit Food Bank of Nevada County.
In addition to the discounts offered in the store's “Huge Harvest Celebration Sale,” shoppers who identify purchases destined for the Food Bank will receive an additional 10 percent off those items.
Owner Chris Kysar is planning to move the store to larger quarters on Broad Street in downtown Nevada City. That move has been delayed as he works through layers of local, state and federal processes to secure stimulus funds, he said. He expects word from the government on his application soon,
he said.
For now, California Organics is at 135 Argall Way, around the corner from SPD in Nevada City's Seven Hills Business District.
