Alumni unite in fellow grad's cancer battle

Friends of colon cancer patient Wendi Lehman from Nevada Union High School's Class of 1986 are holding a fundraiser for her from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, at the Clip Stop, 10126 Alta Sierra Blvd., in Grass Valley.

Lehman has volunteered and worked for a variety of local nonprofits including Women of Worth, Twin Cities Church, the Friendship Club and Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Nevada County.

Fellow NU graduates Melisa Mistler. owner of M3 Mall, and Clip Stop owner Eddie Carroll are combining efforts. Haircuts, makeovers and product sales the day of the event will benefit the Wendi Lehman Cancer Fund.

RSVPs are requested to ensure enough cosmetologists and makeup artists are on hand. Call Mistler (530) 205-8462, e-mail Melisa@m3mall.biz or visit the events page at M3 Mall on Facebook.

People also can donate by contacting Twin Cities Church, e-mailing to angel@twincitieschurch.com or purchasing products from M3 Mall.

To ensure that proper credit goes toward Lehman's Cancer Fund, e-mail product purchases and inquiries to Melisa@m3mall.biz.

For more information, contact the Clip Stop at (530) 477-9877 or theclipstop@att.net.
