Steve Bond: Warner wins Run for Friendship 5K

Robert Warner, in his first race since turning 50 earlier this month, celebrated by winning an overall title for the first time in his life, crossing the finish line first at the Run for Friendship 5K, held in Nevada City last Saturday, September 12, in 19 minutes, 59 seconds.

Denis O'Halloran, who had a small lead at the halfway turnaround, was very close behind, finishing second in 20:02, also placing second in the 50-59 age group (AG), where he is second in the Grand Prix (GP) with 37 points.
