Crawford and Josie Bost celebrated 50 years of marriage July 11.
They were married on a 110-degree day in 1959 at the United Methodist Church in Nevada City. The reception was held at the B-4 Ranch, and the couple honeymooned at Sierra Shangri-La Resort outside Downieville, where they participated in activities such
as fishing.
Crawford and Josie celebrated their 50th anniversary with a six-week train, car, plane and cruise trip to New Zealand and Australia in February and March. They also traveled to the island of Hawaii (the couple's favorite island) to mark the day of their anniversary, along with their 11-year-old twin granddaughters, Ava and Julia.
The couple will be having a party on Sept. 27 at their daughter and son-in-law's home in Nevada City, at the same time marking Josie's birthday Sept. 22.
