Several of The Union readers have remarked on the excellent production of “The Lion in Winter” now playing at the Center for the Arts in Grass Valley. And for good reason.
Karen Sharp and Richard Winters lead a fine group of actors in a quality production that, once again, reminds us of the exceptional talent found in our community. Jeff Hudson of Capital Public Radio reported to his listeners, “The show is good-looking, smartly staged, and smoothly paced — a worthy launch.”
The Union readers may not need to be reminded of the value of the arts to our community or the precarious funding challenges demonstrated by the loss of the Foothill Theatre Company. But, readers do need to know that there is just one more weekend to see this great production. Final shows are today and Saturday. Treat yourself to a memorable theater experience.
