A murder suspect remains at large Sunday after fatally wounding a 19-year-old woman he had been dating in an apparent domestic dispute Saturday night in Marysville, police said.
Ian Sloan York, 21, is wanted for felonious homicide and attempted felonious homicide for gunning down the woman and wounding a 21-year-old man.
The woman died at Rideout Memorial Hospital of a single gunshot wound to the chest, police said. The male victim was treated for a gunshot wound and released. The victims' names have not yet been released.
According to police, York is from Indiana and recently moved to Marysville; it is believed he is stationed at Beale Air Force Base.
Witnesses told police York left the scene in a black Chrysler Crossfire. Placer County deputies later located York's vehicle abandoned in rural Placer County. The police broadcast after the shooting said York was armed with a 9 mm Glock handgun.
