Nevada County

Sheriff's Office

Friday

12:20 p.m. - A caller from the 14000 block of Garden Bar Road reported an attempted burglary.

2:37 p.m. - A caller from the 13100 block of Butler Road reported two motorcycles were stolen from the residence. Officers took a report for a theft case.

8:41 p.m. - A caller from the 21800 block of Blue Horizon Court reported a physical fight between a mother and daughter, with the mother hitting and pushing the daughter and the caller.

10:26 p.m. - A caller from the 12800 block of LaBarr Meadows Road reported his new girlfriend's ex-husband pulled a gun on him. The man left, came back and the caller contacted the Sheriff's Office again, saying he would shoot the ex-husband in the head if deputies did not respond. Arriving officers took a report for a case of brandishing a weapon.

Saturday

12:41 a.m. - A caller from the 12000 block of Deer Park Drive reported hearing a fight in the neighborhood where a man yelled that he was going to kill a woman.

1:51 a.m. - A driver on Highway 49 at Gold Flat Road was pulled over and arrested on suspicion of drunken driving. He was booked into the Nevada County jail and his vehicle was towed.

8:32 a.m. - A caller from the 18500 block of Fay Ridge Court reported a verbal fight. And a be-on-the-lookout alert was issued for suspect who left the residence and was walking down the road. Officers took a report for spousal abuse and intimidation.

11:05 a.m. - A caller from the 16000 block of Jones Bar Road reported that someone had vandalized his gate.

1:28 p.m. - A small vegetation fire was extinguished by firefighters on Wild Turkey Lane.

7:57 p.m. - A caller from the town of Washington reported there was a hit and run incident involving a motorcycle the night before and now there were 15 to 20 people in the street waiting for the suspects so they can "kill them." The California Highway Patrol responded to calm the situation.

11:17 p.m. - A caller complained of a loud wedding on Willow Valley Road. The home was called and the nuptials were calmed.

Sunday

12:51 a.m. - A caller reported some children threw rocks at her car at Quaker Hill Cross Road and Red Dog Road. When her boyfriend confronted them, he hit one with a flashlight. Responding deputies took a report.

Friday

10:11 a.m. - A caller from a business on Sutton Way reported having to remove graffiti from the building.

1:28 p.m. - Two juveniles were reportedly skateboarding on Race Street.

3:54 p.m. - A man in the lobby of the police station reported receiving harassing text messages from his ex-wife. He was advised of the restraining order process.

5:54 p.m. - An irate customer caused a disturbance in a downtown business and left before officers could arrive.

8:16 p.m. - A subject at the emergency room at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital was upset and asked to speak to an officer, who calmed the person down.

10:30 p.m. - A caller from the 300 block of North Church Street reported a fight at a neighbor's residence in which people were yelling and throwing furniture around. Responding officers found a darkened home and that the responsible parties had split apart for the evening.

Saturday

1:05 a.m. - A caller from the 100 block of W. Berryhill Drive reported a sick male in the residence, possibly from drugs. The person was transported to Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital.

10:01 a.m. - A caller from a business on the 900 block of Golden Gate Terrace reported a kumquat tree was stolen from the property.

10:31 a.m. - A caller reported two dogs were left in a car with two flat tires in a parking lot on Nevada City Highway for more than one hour. Officers found the driver to deal with it.

12:41 p.m. - A caller from the 100 block of Doris Drive reported that a dog in the neighborhood has attacked four people in the past few days. Animal control was called to follow up.

1:05 p.m. - A caller from a business on the Nevada City Highway reported a woman in front of the store was trying to solicit sexual acts. Officers warned the woman to move on.

3:55 p.m. - A caller from the 600 block of Kate Hayes Street reported a blue mountain bike had been stolen from their residence, possibly within the hour. Officers took a report for petty theft.

8:34 p.m. - A caller from the 200 block of Sutton Way reported his bicycle had been stolen overnight.

9:07 p.m. - A woman reported she was locked in her vehicle in a parking lot on McKnight Way. Responding officers freed her.

9:50 p.m. - Two juveniles were seen jumping the fence to take a swim at Memorial Park pool after hours. Officers contacted the juveniles, cited and released them.

10:41 p.m. - A woman from the 100 block of Fir Lane said there was as drunk man in her yard with a shaved head fighting with himself. Responding officers arrested the man on suspicion of being drunk in public.

Sunday

12:08 a.m. - A caller from the 600 block of Whiting Street reported hearing a gunshot.

6:09 a.m. - A caller on the 1000 block of Plaza Drive reported a smoldering fire under some pine needles. The fire department extinguished the blaze caused by a discarded cigarette.
