A solo accident above Camptonville sent a motorcyclist to hospital via helicopter Wednesday morning.
The accident happened at about 11:30 a.m. on Highway 49 at Brandy City Road, closing one lane of the highway temporarily.
Richard Sanchez, 74, of Yuba City, was driving a 2003 Harley Davidson at about 25 mph on a curvy section of the highway when he lost control, striking a guardrail. He was wearing a helmet and neither drugs nor alcohol was a factor, according to California Highway Patrol spokesman Rich Nickell.
Sanchez was transported via helicopter to Enloe Medical Center in Chico as a precautionary measure, Nickell said.
