Despite a very hot day last Saturday, May 30, and the downturn in the economy, the Run for the Community 5K and 10K races showed a significant upswing in attendance.
There were 95 finishers in the 5K, the same as last year, but, possibly due to a less hilly, friendlier 10K course, there were 57 finishers in that race versus 41 last year. Additionally, there were also 21 walkers, for a total of 173 participants.
