The National Weather Service in Reno has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Central Sierra County. This includes Sierraville, until 4:00pm.

Doppler radar indicated a severe thunderstorm capable of producing quarter-sized hail, damaging winds in excell of 60MPH.

This storm is located near Sierraville and moving nrothwest at 5 MPH. Locations affected include Calpine, Sattley, Sierraville and Yuba Pass.

This storm is capable of producing large hail, in addition to frequent deadly lightning, high winds, and heavy rain. If time permits, move your vehicle into a garage and seek shelter inside a sturdy structure and say away from windows.
