De Linda Brady offers natural, nutritional supplements at the Healing Garden on Alta Sierra Drive off Highway 49.
De Linda Brady lived a lifetime of what she calls traditional medicine to deal with her physical ailments when she discovered nutritional supplements.
Give the body what it needs, and results will follow, said Brady, who opened Healing Garden in Alta Sierra in 2007.
The store offers nutritional supplements, herbs and gifts. She focuses on organically produced products, saying fewer chemicals in the body mean less waste for the organs to process.
I try to help people learn about nutrients, how they work and when they are appropriate, Brady said. I try to help everyone understand that knowledge is the key to better health.
The more we learn, the better equipped we are to talk to our doctors ... and make informed decisions about our health care.
Brady calls herself a skeptic who reads material from sources other than product manufacturers and needs proof something works before shell even talk about something new.
The key to using nutritional supplements is finding the amount your body needs, she added.
Explaining what nutrients do and how effective they can be is what I do best, Brady said. I search for the best companies that are honest and trustworthy. They have to put out an exceptionally clean product that shows results.
She offers her information without fees along with health basics such as drink plenty of water and get exercise.
The skeptic in me is why I help people the way I do, Brady said.
