The future bride is the daughter of Mollie L. McClain of Penn Valley.
She is a 1993 graduate from Westmont High School in Campbell. She graduated from Sierra College in Grass Valley, and went on to graduate cum laude with a Bachelors of Arts in psychology from Sonoma State University.
She currently works at Blue Mountain Center of Meditation in Tomales.
The future groom is the son of Stanley K. Shoptaugh and Toni V. Minor of Ukiah.
He attended Mendocino College, St. Johns College and Sonoma State University.
The couple met while working for a renewable energy company in Sebastopol.
The couple plan to marry on June 20 at Montgomery Woods State Preserve in Mendocino County.
They plan to honeymoon in Banff, Canada.
